Yellowish wallpaper, light blue on the walls and floors, marbleized counter, flower-printed sink, holes in the showerhead wall, old bathtub and missing doors in the vanity. Knowing that we would have to live with this bathroom for at least a year was not comforting at first.
Our vision:
- Since this was the bathroom on the main floor, it was going to be used as a family bathroom but also as the powder room when we have guests over for social events. We wanted it to be functional for our daily use but also refined for a timeless look;
- A spacious bathroom:
- Move the bathtub to the downstairs bathroom and install a shower with glass doors instead;
- Remove the tiny closet at the entrance of the bathroom (not shown in pictures);
- Move the toilet closer to the shower;
- Install a big mirror above the vanity;
- Replace the window
- Fit for the morning rush and daily use:
- Install a vanity with lots of storage;
- Have a double sink vanity;
- Install an efficient toilet and a relaxing rainshower;
- A serene and inviting guest bathroom:
- Heated floors;
- Recessed lighting;
- Floor-to-ceiling ceramic tiles;
- Marble counter tops;
- Custom-made mirror;
- Quality bathroom fixtures;
In three words: luxurious. modern. organic.
